Terms of service
These Terms of Service will govern access to and use of the Cautiq services — the ClauseGuard contract-review platform and the OR64 model layer, operated by CautiQ Group. They are separate from the Terms of use for this marketing website. For any deployment, the binding terms are set out in the written agreement between you and CautiQ Group; nothing here overrides that agreement.
1. Agreement
By accessing or using the services you agree to these terms together with the written agreement governing your access. If you do not agree, do not use the services.
2. The services
ClauseGuard applies your playbook to agreements and surfaces clause-level risk with source-linked evidence; OR64 is the proprietary model layer. The services assist your legal team — they do not provide legal advice and do not replace a lawyer, and every decision remains with counsel.
3. Accounts & access
Access is provided to named users under your organisation’s agreement. You are responsible for keeping credentials secure and for activity under your accounts.
4. Acceptable use
Use the services only for lawful purposes and as permitted by your agreement. Do not attempt to disrupt, probe, reverse-engineer, or misuse the services, or use them to infringe the rights of others.
5. Your data & confidentiality
Your contracts, playbooks, and matter data are handled as described in our approach to confidentiality and in your written agreement. We do not train models on your data except where you have expressly agreed, and one customer’s data is not used to serve another.
6. Intellectual property
CautiQ Group and its licensors retain all rights in the services, ClauseGuard, OR64, and related materials. Your data remains yours.
7. Fees
Fees, where they apply, are set out in your order form or written agreement.
8. Warranties & disclaimers
Except as expressly stated in your written agreement, the services are provided “as is”. Outputs support a lawyer’s judgement and are not a substitute for professional advice or a guarantee of any outcome.
9. Limitation of liability
Liability for the services is governed by the terms of your written agreement. [To be completed by legal.]
10. Term & termination
Access continues for the term of your agreement and may be suspended or terminated as set out there.
11. Changes
We may update these terms as the services evolve; material changes will be communicated in line with your agreement.
